What does it do?
Event Driven inspections give notifications in real time when the risk to the integrity of an asset, as established by limits for key process variables, is increased.
Why does it do it?
By taking this approach, we are able to identify risks associated with changes in the process earlier on, instead of relying on inspection as the only method.
An RBI program supplemented by event-driven inspection can cut down on superfluous inspections while delivering real-time notifications of increased risks to asset integrity, thereby allowing operators and/or asset managers to take proactive, timely action.
By integrating Risk Based Inspections (RBI) and Integrity Operating Window (IOW) programs and analyzing corrosion management, inspection, failure data, as well as online monitoring output, this methodology is able to provide accurate results.
